Kolegji Universitar Reald (engl.: University College Reald) is a university located in Vlorë, Albania. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in various fields, including computer science, engineering, business, law, and health sciences.
The Challenge
Many different problems with communication arose when email addresses of teachers from two different universities involved in a collaborative project often changed, leading to confusion and difficulty in keeping track of the correct email addresses to use. Also, concerns about the privacy of the communication came up.
The Solution
The university chose to implement Google Workspace for Education, utilizing Gmail, Google Groups, and Google Classroom, with a focus on privacy, security, time-saving administration, and streamlined communication.
The Results
By switching to Google Workspace for email communication, teachers can take advantage of Google Groups to easily assign students to classrooms in Google Classroom, while also benefiting from the privacy and security measures implemented by Google.
The Highlight
Google Workspace provides robust privacy and security features to protect user data, including encryption for data in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication, and advanced phishing and malware detection. Additionally, Google Workspace is compliant with several international privacy and security standards, such as ISO 27001 and GDPR.
