Central Ukrainian National Technical University
Central Ukrainian National Technical University (CUNTU) is one of the leading higher educational institutions of central Ukraine. The University plays a central role in the training of qualified specialists. There are more than 6,000 students studying in 40 specialties and specializations at 4 departments and 2 colleges of the university.
The Challenge
The University had an old mail server on premise that was not updated regularly. This led to a huge problem with spam, as well as a lack of storage space for important documents. The University needed to upgrade to a new, more secure mail server and implement a shared drive solution to improve their email and storage capabilities.
The Solution
Google Workspace effectively addressed spam for teachers and researchers. The platform’s spam filters blocked unwanted emails, saving time and improving productivity. Google Workspace also provided a shared platform for exchanging and collaborating on documents. The adaptation process among teachers and researchers is happening organically, with individuals adjusting at their own pace.
The Results
Google Workspace is easy to set up and configure, with a simple user interface that makes it easy for administrators to manage email, users, drive storage, and security. Administrators simply need to create a Google Workspace account and then add users. Once users are added, they can access their email, drive storage, and other Workspace features using their Google account credentials.
The Highlight
Google Workspace's security dashboard provides a central location for administrators to view and manage security settings, alerts, and reports. The dashboard can be used to monitor for suspicious activity, identify potential threats, and take action to protect users and data.
